Just like Dia dos Namorados in Brazil, Valentine's Day is a special day reserved to tell people you love how much you love them. A bit different from the worldwide celebration, in Brazil boyfriends and girlfriends are the ones who, every June 12, get present, chocolate, flowers, love cards, etc. In Valentine's the cool thing is to reward everyone you really like with a gift.
Valentine's Day receives this name after Saint Valentine.

Love is all about... This is the question, but, for me, it can contain a lot of the answer. Love is all about dot, dot, dot. Kind of a mystery is involved in this theme. People have discussed about love since many generations ago, and each person could give a different definition for love because it is deeply related to each one´s experiences and beliefs. I think that a static sentence couldn´t define what love is about. But I would say, that for me, love involves opening your labyrinths for another person, breaking the wall that divides people, going through unknown ways looking for your own ground, carrying not only about yourself, expressing your essence, seeing beyond what the eyes can show, and, of course, taking the risks! ExcluirI don’t know exactly what love is all about. But I have some ideas… Love is about allow yourself to be what you are, while you’re open to the other. It’s being open to fears, uncertainties, insecurities, to conflicts. It’s being able to share. It’s knowing that nothing is perfect, but that problems can be solved, that everything contributes for growing. It’s a gradual and constructed feeling. It develops from the living and the experiences, it grows every obstacle overcome. Love is the balance between you and the other, it must be mutual.

ExcluirWhen people talk about love, what they usually really want is an equation to perfection, a sum that tells what are the right things to do and the righ person to look for. This common way of seeing love leads you to like something and look for it in someone, but not necessarily like this someone. And for me, love is about not truly knowing why it happens, it needs to be mutual but doesn't need to be explained. As said in comments above, it takes you to be opened to new things, to new horizons and experiences, it takes freeing yourself from any sort of prejudice. And isn't about loving the others imperfections, but learning how to deal with them.

ExcluirI don't know what love is and I don't think anyone really knows, or maybe everybody knows but can't explain it because love is something you feel and it is hard to explain your feelings, especially because love can be expressed in many forms. I can only say that, for me, love is something that makes you get out of your comfort zone, that drives you crazy and makes you thing something is wrong with you and the world. But love is not all bad, there are many kinds of love. There is love between family, friends, pets, etc. Overall, love can drive you crazy, but it can also make you feel happier than you've ever felt before and can change someone, for better or worse.

A feeling that is beautifull and nice for some people can be awful to others, and that is what makes love so unpredictable and so different for each person.

Love is sharing what is best in you, is being kind and generous, is think in the person you love first place, is being there to help and care even when the person dont deserv it.

But for me love is when the other person’s happiness is more important than your own, is when you don’t think just about yourself but also about the other person and how to make them happy everyday; It's a feeling that makes you smile just thinking about that one person and all the stupid things that you do to make love happen. Love isn't an easy subject to put in the table, for me personally. Some people have a good explanation and a good notion of what is love, and others don't, but all of them have in mind that this is an inexplicable feeling. Most of the people would put their lives in danger to save a people that they love. Accepting or not, everybody has a bit of love in their hearts, that can be in an object or in a living thing.
A sense of love feeling can be different from one to another, such as those types of person that, after a huge "excavation", you can see that she can feel love normally.

ResponderExcluirLove may differ from relantionship to relationship: People fell diferente about people they love depending on their role in each other’s life. The way you fell about friends is propably very diferent than how you fell about family, parents, grandparents and romantic interest.
It may also mean diferent things over time. For example: in the past, people had many mates and fewer parentes (since the life expectancy of that time was very low). They probably understood love in a diferent way than we do today.
Love is all about... I think that someone can ride a book explaning the definition of love. I dont think that love has a rite definition, but also can be a lot of thinks. Love is unpredictable, a feeling that you have for people you really care about and you really want to be together. Love is a thing that no one control, that no one know how it works, and we can’t discuss about it because every person has a different way of loving, it is never the same. There is a lot of ways to love, but for me, love should be all about caring about someone. Because even if you're attracted to that person, if you don't care about him/her, it's a very selfish love. When you sacrifice some of your things, when you're willing to change for that person, that's when there's care, and there's when there's love. But don't misunderstand me: don't be a slave of somebody. If someone is pushing too hard, making you do things you shoudn't be doing, acting like he/she owns you, that's not love either.
